Even though we started our Mother’s Day Projects two weeks ago, we were finishing the last ones today before lunch. That’s a little too close for comfort. Thank goodness for Monica, our high school helper. She helped some of the kids with their typing Wednesday which saved a lot of time.
The projects were really cute. The kids all made two flower pens and wrote 3 paragraphs describing their moms. The writings were decorated with a self-portrait and laminated.
I guess I’ll find out at the next parent day if the mothers liked their gifts!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks2bitesize/maths/shape_space/shapes/play.shtml This is a sorting game for 2-d and 3-d shapes. This would be a good one to try if your child is still having trouble with 2-d and 3-d.
http://www.iknowthat.com/com/L3?Area=GeometryWorkbench When you get to this site, click on the gold PLAY button. Then, without registering, click on the green MAYBE LATER button. After that, click on Choose a Challenge Topic, choose a topic (I recommend angles and triangles for now), and finally on Give me a Challenge.
